Snip snip!

After my rough cut was handed in, I decided I needed to cut out the photos more and lose the background on them for my double page spread so it looks like she is stood behind her. As you can see, you can now see part of the models through her arms:

Front cover stories!

Justifying my front cover stories:

Justin Timberlake - Bringing Music Back -> play on words. Justin Timberlake has a song called 'Bringing Sexy Back' and as he was returning to the music scene I decided it would be good to mix the 2 things together

Exclusive with The Vaccines -> shows the variety of music my magazine has to offer

2013 festival guide -> not just about the charts

I then put a lot of artists in a line down the right side of the front cover. In this I used different fonts and for 'Bastille' I made the 'A' look like the way they write it

Dafont.com!

I decided that the text for my title didn't stand out much so I went onto a website called www.dafont.com and searched through the 'serif' option. I found a font called Liberation Serif so I downloaded that onto my computer and used it for my title, this is what it looked like when I was searching on the website:

Background!

After I did my rough cut, I found that the front cover had too much white space on the background so I changed the background to a black gradient background.
I made it on photoshop to make the gradient go from dark to light in the middle to enhance my model

Keeping Up!

I keep making sure that when I am making differences to the music in the magazine that I am keeping up with the charts so none of my stories will be irrelevant. To do this I have been frequently going onto the Radio 1 website and checking the charts:

Price!

I have decided to price my magazine at £2.99 as it was the most popular choice in my research. It is at a mid price range so is appropriate for the ages of my target audience.
